How do I create an online account?

Follow these instructions to create an online account

New Users
  • Your login ID is your member ID number
  • Your Password is your mailing zip code
  • Once logged in update your e-mail address and password
Note: to obtain your mailing zip code refer to a recent membership mailing that you received and use the exact zip code printed on the envelope, including hyphens and carrier route code numbers.

Update your e-mail address

  1. Login to your account
  2. Visit the My Account - Customer Details page.
  3. Click on the notepad icon
  4. Enter your e-mail address into the field provided, and click OK.
  5. A save icon will appear next to Customer Details.
  6. Click the save icon to ensure that your changes are kept.
  7. Your e-mail address will then become your new login ID and a confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provided.

Update your password

  1. Login to your account
  2. Click on the Change Password link
  3. Enter your new password into the fields provided
  4. Click save

How many account logins are permitted for each account?

There can only be one online account login created for memberships including those that contain more than one name in the record.

I am a Chicago History Museum member, where is my discounted pricing for tickets?

Members should select regular adult tickets and once logged in under a valid membership account the ticket prices will automatically adjust to the member rate.

Why does the system ask me to login repeatedly?

When purchasing tickets or memberships you may find that you are asked for your login information on multiple occasions, please understand that this is not an error but rather is a fixed setting that helps to ensure account security.

Why do I not see any of my purchases prior to September 15, 2006?

The online account will display all ticket orders that were placed on or after September 15th, Ticket purchases older than that date will not appear on the account and have instead been archived into our ticketing system.

How do I cancel an order?

For security purposes you cannot cancel a ticket online. For errors, cancellations or questions please call the museum.
