Historical Alliance
The Historical Alliance is a special part of the Museum family. This distinguished group of donors serves as an anchor for the museum in every way. By providing support for the Annual Fund, these individuals have made a commitment to underwriting much needed general operations of the Museum.
As energetic, active members of Museum the Historical Alliance hosts a number of exciting dinners and lectures throughout the year. This year, we invite you to once again join the Historical Alliance and experience intimate opportunities to learn more about the history of Chicago, America, and the world.
Please make your gift online today or contact us for more information. Your support will make it possible for us to continue to conserve artifacts, offer unique children’s programming, and continue our long tradition of excellence.
Benefits of Giving
Sponsors ($1,000 – $2,499) receive:
- A special Sponsor card that entitles you to VIP status throughout the museum;
- All of the benefits of a family membership including a free subscription to Chicago History Magazine, unlimited free admission to our galleries, unlimited access to our research facilities, and special discounts at the Museum Store and in the research center;
- Special invitations to an exclusive Museum events, such as the Making History Awards dinner, a boat cruise and sunset reception, dinner with prominent national historians, and behind-the-scenes tours of our exciting Chicago History Galleries;
- Waived fees on photograph reproductions (for personal use) from the archives; and
- Your name listed in the annual report as a Sponsor.
Benefactors ($2,500 – $4,999) receive all of the benefits listed above plus:
- A special Benefactor card that entitles you to VIP status throughout the museum;
- Behind-the-scenes tours of the archives and storage areas;
- Invitations to our "Research 101" workshop, which provides instruction on how to use the research databases and equipment so you can dig up your own Chicago history; and
- Your name listed in the annual report as a Benefactor.
Guarantors ($5,000 – $9,999) receive all of the benefits listed above plus:
- A special Sponsor card that entitles you to VIP status throughout the Museum;
- One-on-one tutoring on how to use the research databases and equipment so you can dig up your own Chicago history; and
- Your name listed in the annual report as a Guarantor.
