Public Tours
Let our knowledgeable and engaging volunteers provide an additional dimension to your Museum experience with a guided exhibition tour.
Public exhibition tours include gallery overviews and highlights, and last less than an hour. Tour topics vary; currently tours are being offered for two exhibitions:
- Chicago: Crossroads of America
- Catholic Chicago
- Chic Chicago: Couture Treasures from the Chicago History Museum
Public tours, free with Museum admission, occur nearly each day of the week. Contact 312.642.4600 to confirm the time and topic for the day of your visit.

Chic Tour and Chicago Tea
Saturday, April 25, 12:00-4:00 p.m.
Chic Chicago curator Timothy Long will share tasty tidbits on a privately guided tour of the exhibition. Finish off your fashion-filled afternoon with traditional tea at the Drake Hotel. Ticket includes tour, tea, and transportation.

Tour begins at the Museum.
Cost:
$55; $50 members

Refund Policy:
Refunds for a tour will be given in the form of tour credit which can
be applied to another tour. Credit will be given with a minimum of two
weeks notice prior to the day of the tour. No exceptions.
Sign Language Interpretation:
The Chicago History Museum is happy to offer sign language
interpretation at any of its public programs. Please contact the Public
Programs Manager, at least 48 hours prior to the day of the event in
