Blogosphere. Cyberspace. Cyberculture. Cyber huh? Online networking is bigger than ever, but what is the buzz about blogging? Award-wining Chicago Sun-Times journalist Laura Washington leads a panel discussion of online etiquette, dos and don’ts, and the effects of cyber communication on our real lives.

Screen Actors Guild Program and "Audition"
Saturday, June 21, 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 1:00–2:30 p.m.
The Screen Actors Guild celebrates 75 years of making acting look easy! But is it? Come celebrate with a panel of Chicago actors and find out what it's like to audition. Ten audience members will have the opportunity to rehearse and shoot an "audition" using a script from a film, commercial, or television show that was shot in Chicago. You'll be coached by award-winning casting director Jane Alderman and see a playback of your performance.

Celebrate our nation's independence at the Museum! You are invited to the 49th annual Star-Spangled Independence Day, featuring festivities for the entire family. This year's guest speaker is former Chicago alderman Leon Despres. Other highlights include patriotic music, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, face painting, and a children's costume parade led by the World's Tallest Uncle Sam!

Put the Nuns in Charge
Sunday, August 24, 2:00 p.m.
Chicago's Royal George Theatre returns to the Museum for a special one-time-only performance. Sister is back in the classroom, and the Seven Deadly Sins have never been funnier. This time she's talking about everything from skirt lengths to cell phones, iPods to eBay. Despite today's modern problems, everything in Sister's world relates back to her Catholic upbringing.
This performance is presented in conjunction with the Catholic Chicago exhibition.

Refund Policy:
Refunds for a tour will be given in the form of tour credit which can be applied to another tour. Credit will be given with a minimum of two weeks notice prior to the day of the tour. No exceptions.
