| This drawing is very similar in subject to the Harper's Weekly cover depicting Robert Collyer leading a service outside of Unity Church. Both try to capture the piety of fire-chastened Chicago. The ruins are those of Grace Methodist Episcopal Church, which was dedicated in 1868, and whose minister at the time was Matthew M. Parkhurst. | |||
