Original Relic House Before the Refreshment and Music Hall Was Added -- 1872 Selling History
This photograph was included in the 1906 pamphlet. The Relic House was constructed out of stones, pipes, and other objects such as sewing machines, bottles, plumbers' tools plates, dolls' heads, and iron toys. Over the years a series of owners added a bar, a music hall, a restaurant, and interior decor that included stuffed moose and deer heads, mounted sharks, assorted engravings, and a six-by-eight-foot oil painting of the Great Chicago Fire.
