Unity and St. James Churches,
Then and Now
Living Memory
As was the case with St. Michael's Church, it was possible to rebuild Unity and St. James's Churches according to the old design, integrating some of the fire-scarred walls. Pictured above are the two buildings after the fire and today, with Unity, now the Scottish Rite Temple, on top. The photograph of St. James after the fire is from a stereograph by P.B. Greene. The contemporary images are digital photographs.
