Bird's-Eye Views of the City
This ornate composition captures the bustle and dynamism of the city by focusing on the lake traffic and, through the two figures on the bottom, honoring the mind and muscle that were building the city. The vignettes feature a number of imposing buildings, especially churches, but most prominent at top and bottom are the sleek railroad and the proud Courthouse.
