  Moo-Ving Down Michigan Avenue
Moo-ving down Michigan Avenue, 1983 (Chicago Tribune photograph by Anne Cusack) A String of Endorsements
In a scene very reminiscent of Mrs. O'Leary's appearance in the 1911 fire commemoration, yet another Kate and Daisy amble past the old Pumping Station on North Michigan Avenue, once again before a slender and indifferent audience. This time the occasion was the opening of "Here's Chicago," a privately-operated visitor center that was in business for about a decade in the Pumping Station. In addition to a multi-media tour of the city, "Here's Chicago" for a few years included a free exhibit of materials relating to the fire from the collections of the Chicago Historical Society, as well as a souvenir shop named "Cheerie O'Leary's Gift Emporium."
