| One of a Multitude, 1893 | |||
| On Chicago Day, hundreds of thousands of tourists joined local citizens in setting an attendance record of over 750,000 (including close to 40,000 people who were admitted on passes and perhaps some who patriotically entered multiple times to elevate the number). This far surpassed the previous mark, set on the Fourth of July, when 283,273 souls visited the fair. This special Chicago Day ticket is emblazoned with yet another phoenix rising from the flames. | |||
